A saga of unseen heroism on invisible borders, an unwavering vow of selfless service, and a storm of patriotism—this spirit was rekindled today as the 37th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) celebrated its Foundation Day with military precision and national pride.
Since its inception in 1968, the battalion has carried forward a glorious legacy, and today’s occasion was more than a commemoration—it was a tribute to the loyalty running in every jawan’s veins, the last breath of every martyr, and the silent courage of every mother who gave her son to the nation.
The event was presided over by Commandant Shri D. E. Kindo, with Second-in-Command Shri Sujit Kumar, Deputy Commandant Shri Anil Chandramore, and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Varun Mishra in attendance.
The day began with a solemn floral tribute at the Martyrs’ Memorial. The wreath-laying was not just a ritual, but a heartfelt expression of deep respect from every member of the battalion. For a moment, time seemed to pause, and even the dense forests of Gadchiroli stood in reverent silence.
A Special Sainik Sammelan (soldiers’ gathering) was held thereafter, where gallantry medal awardees were felicitated. Each word spoken during the ceremony resonated with patriotism and deep-rooted commitment to duty. The gathering stood as a shining example of discipline, dedication, and unity, leaving a lasting impression on all present.
Due to heavy rains, certain events like the Cultural Evening and Memento Ceremony were postponed. However, in the words of Commandant Kindo: “Rain is not an enemy but a companion to a soldier. These programs will soon be held with renewed spirit.”
This celebration served as a powerful reminder of the battalion’s tradition, valor, and eternal service to the nation. It was a declaration that the battlefield of protection is not just one of arms, but of restraint, devotion, and boundless love for the motherland.
In the end, one feeling echoed in every heart—
“We are born under this flag, and we shall die upholding its honor…”
